PlainSounds is an independent record label in the true sense. We are not affiliated to any larger music corporation and we employ the services of independent distribution companies.

PlainSounds do not charge artists signed to our label for upfront recording expenses. Instead we absorb the costs from day one and consider a release to be more of a promotional tool than an outright money spinner. We have more motivation than any other label when it comes to getting your music on the airwaves and in the shops.

We spend a huge amount of time on the live music circuit selecting bands on the strength of their talent, not their bank balance. And we know talent when we hear it; our team includes seasoned producers, engineers, musicians and music journalists. We don't do demos, we make records.
